WARRANTY & SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
SYNERGY WARRANTY INFORMATION:
Ashton Trading Company Limited / African Energy Solutions Limited (o/a SYNERGY BATTERIES) warrants to the original purchaser only, (by proof of purchase receipt) that the battery is new, fresh and has been maintained in a condition which exceeds industry accepted standards and further, that it will be free of defects in materials and workmanship. Should a battery become unserviceable due to manufacturer defects in material or workmanship, NOT MERELY DISCHARGED, then upon return of the battery to the location where purchased:
Within the twelve (12) months period from the date of purchase, the battery will be replaced free of charge (except for taxes where applicable).
MIXTECH WARRANTY INFORMATION:
Ashton Trading Company Limited / African Energy Solutions Limited (o/a SYNERGY BATTERIES) warrants to the original purchaser only, (by proof of purchase receipt) that the battery is new, fresh and has been maintained in a condition which exceeds industry accepted standards and further, that it will be free of defects in materials and workmanship. Should a battery become unserviceable due to manufacturer defects in material or workmanship, NOT MERELY DISCHARGED, then upon return of the battery to the location where purchased:
Within the twelve (12) months period from the date of purchase for commercial applications & twenty four (24) months for non-commercial applications, the battery will be replaced free of charge (except for taxes where applicable).
DISCOVER START-STOP AGM WARRANTY INFORMATION:
Ashton Trading Company Limited / African Energy Solutions Limited (o/a SYNERGY BATTERIES) warrants to the original purchaser only, (by proof of purchase receipt) that the battery is new, fresh and has been maintained in a condition which exceeds industry accepted standards and further, that it will be free of defects in materials and workmanship. Should a battery become unserviceable due to manufacturer defects in material or workmanship, NOT MERELY DISCHARGED, then upon return of the battery to the location where purchased:
Within the twenty four (24) months period from the date of purchase, products with manufacturing defects will be replaced free of charge (except for taxes where applicable).
WARRANTY IS VOID IN THE EVENT OF:
- Improper Charging or Installation
- Container, Casing, Cover or Terminal Damage
- Failure to Maintain Vehicle Charging System
- Failure to Properly Maintain the Battery
- Fire Damage
- Excessive Heat
- Wreckage or Explosion
- Sulphation or Dehydrations from Prolonged Storage and/or Non-Use*
The warranty described here shall be in lieu of any other warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to installation costs, incidental or consequential damages.
BATTERY HANDLING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Do’s
- During installation make sure the terminals do not touch any metal mounting, engine or body parts.
- Ensure that the battery is the correct size for the vehicle.
- Correct vehicle charging rate of 12.6V-14.5V.
- Clean the terminals and fit the clamps tightly on the terminals. Broken connections and frayed or cut cables should be replaced.
- Keep battery and connections clean and dry. If deposits build up on the terminals, clean with hot water.
- Ensure that starter cables are strong enough to carry a high voltage.
- Ensure that you charge wet batteries once a month if you are not using them for long periods of time.
- Connect cables tightly.
- Secure batteries with the hold-down assembly.
- Install a cut-off/cut-out switch on the vehicles with accessories like; radio, fridge, inverter as they are directly connected to the battery in most safari vehicles, and could cause a drain in the current resulting in lower cranking power.
Don’ts
- Test the battery by short circuiting with wires and spanners.
- Expose the battery to excessive shocks and vibrations.
- Hammer the terminals or terminal clamps.
- Crank start continuously for more than 10 (ten) seconds.
- Leave the battery idle for more than a month.
- Expose the battery to an open flame, cigarettes, or spark – it may explode!
- Boost charge the battery.
- Remove or Damage the vent caps.
- Lean over the battery while testing, or charging.
- Never try to charge a visibly damaged or frozen battery.

- Difficulties with charging system
- Corroded terminals
- Cracked/Broken casings
- Short Circuits
